You Probably know Medusa. But you misunderstand her and her sisters. She was born with a ugly face and snake hair, right? Wrong. Can you really keep a secret? Fine then. I’ll tell you. Wait a second! Are you telling me I’m trying to kill time until you have to go to the bathroom? I’ll tell you rriigghhiitt…..NOW!!!
Medusa was a very beautiful girl, daughter of the old sea king who had given his place gladly to Poseidon. Then they had a contest. I mean, Athena and Poseidon were called to a challenge. In a small town, they declared that who ever made the better present for the town, wins and the town would name it after the god. Athena gave them a olive tree. While Poseidon, poor Poseidon, gave them a rock that was cracked and it flowed water out. But unfortunatly, it was salty water. So that’s why the town was named Athens.
Poseidon then invited Hades, Zeus, and Medusa and her sisters to a party in Athena’s new temple. He bragged that it was his. But Hades and Zeus knew that he was lying to impress them. Just then, Athena appeared. Hdes tried to convince her that it was a accident. Zeus just escaped from his daughter’s fiery temper. But she just froze him. Poseidon was silent. Then Athena turned on Medusa and her sisters. Then she cursed them. But Poseidon and Medusa fell in love and had a son named Pegasus. THen she went into hiding. That is the gruesome tale of Medusa, the former moon goddess.
